Don’t sweat over the small stuff and it’s all small stuff. In this chaotic time, This is more than just a book—it's a bit of tranquillity. In a time when people don't remember to balance their relationships and workload with their health. People are now hyperactive and social media is constantly undermining people's attention spans and memories. There are two main reasons why this book is so meaningful to me.
For the first time in my life, my father gifted me with this book. He always told me to keep my sense of calm and try to use the let them principle in my day-to-day activities. He gave me a book so that I may learn the greatest hundred lessons to deal with life and to live a tranquil and lovely existence. Perhaps this is because of my reactive attitude to the satiations, which doesn't matter.
Second, I was squandering time on pointless activities while coping with despair and uncertainty. After reading this book, I understood that my life was chaotic rather than tranquil.Although it will be challenging for me to cover all 100 lessons because most of them overlap, I will attempt to cover the most crucial ones in this essay.
The author began the book with an intriguing fact: humanity's greatest discovery is not science or technology, but rather the ability to change one's attitude toward life. The author emphasises that the first thing we need to do in this hyperactive world is to change our attitude toward life because, according to the author, most people view life as an emergency. Although life isn't an emergency, we handle it like one. One needs to react to life more easily. You will be frustrated for the rest of your life if you are angered and annoyed by small things. While presenting the idea that life is not an emergency. In reality, the author is attempting to demonstrate the book's title, don't worry about the little things because they are all insignificant. He wanted to clarify that not everything is worthy of your attention. Understanding this life formula—"change the things that can be changed and accept those that cannot"is a crucial strategy that humans can use to prevent dissatisfaction.
"Make peace with imperfection" was another crucial point. We are more concerned with perfection when we first start reading or studying something, but since perfection requires practice, you don't need to be hard on yourself.Recognise that everything will take time. The author used his life experiences to support the claim that he had never encountered a flawless individual in his whole career.
The author highlighted in the third lesson that you should strive to avoid those who believe that their lives are in danger and instead surround yourself with calm, caring, and serene people. The affirmation that your life will continue to be unstable is the next point, which is likewise related to this point. One of my favourite quotes from the book is that there will be significant business to attend to once we pass away. Because there will always be phone calls to make, projects to finish, and jobs to do after you pass away, obsession with a to-do list is just transitory. For this reason, the author concentrated on inner peace and tranquillity.
Letting others take the glory was another crucial line. For example, don't be so preoccupied with yourself; instead, let others take the limelight. Make others feel that their narrative matters by trying to realise that your tale is unimportant. Let's acknowledge that the achievements of others are more significant than our own. You don't have to interrupt other people or tell them that your tale is more interesting. Let them talk.
Additionally, develop the ability to live in the present. Put an end to thinking about multiple issues at once. You'll have a collapsed brain. It's a life lesson that helps you refocus on the here and now.
Imagine that everyone is enlightened except for you. That was one of my favourite chapters. This phenomena and the belief that we are the focus of attention or everything, in my opinion, is the cause of many disputes and confrontations. Although we are more advanced, educated, and aware than others, this is not an effective learning technique. If you wish to learn, concentrate on this.
Another thing was to allow other people be correct most of the time because listening and being heated is one of humanity's biggest desires. The second thing is that we all detest being corrected. We always thought of ourselves as correct.
The book also asked, "Will this matter in a year?" Continue to consider whether or not what you are doing is worthwhile. Why am I devoting my time to this process? Why am I putting so much effort into these relationships? Is this truly worth it, or am I squandering my time, feelings, and energy?
The author explained that humans should be referred to as human doings in the next chapter, "Allow yourself to be bored as people are no longer human beings." We have no time for anything. We don't have time to sit quietly and think about the natural world. Even when we eat or sleep, we are constantly thinking about pointless things since our thoughts are constantly occupied with the responsibilities of the day.
The next chapters title was imagine yourself at your death funeral . You will be worried that why you have wasted your time on small stuff life was so short while laying on your death bed you will try to reverse the time .The nostalgia will hit you badly you desperately want to rethink the life because you have reacted to the situations which were not important .You argue with the people which were not important.
The crucial idea of human nature hostility was covered in Chapter No. 27. Imagine the people in your life as little newborns if you wish to prevent aggressiveness. Since we were all infants at the time. Forgive those who make mistakes; they will eventually learn.
These hundred lessons are important if you want to survive in this chaotic and terrifying world .
